For a few years now we have been privileged to support Uri triathlete Jolanda Annen as her principal sponsor. At 27 years of age, this engaging young lady from Central Switzerland already holds an established place among the world’s top triathletes. In the current ranking she features as number 33 out of all female triathletes worldwide.
After a successful start to the season in February in Cape Town, South Africa, Jolanda went on to further competitive events in Abu Dhabi and Australia. In New Plymouth, New Zealand, she achieved an outstanding second place in the World Cup, and followed this up with a successful showing in the European Championships in the Netherlands, where she gained a seventh place in the team event. In her next triathlon, a mixed team event in England, she achieved yet another podium finish with an impressive second place.
After further competitions all over the world, the Grand Finals of the World Triathlon Series will be taking place at the end of August (29 August to 1 September). As the climax of the season, the world’s best triathletes of both sexes will be competing in Lausanne in Western Switzerland. Spectators can look forward to a thrilling contest in the disciplines of swimming, cycling and running.
