Exactly two years ago, work began on a plan to expand the GIPO site. With the ground-breaking ceremony for the new parking area at the end of July 2019, construction work officially began on the largest expansion step to date in the history of Emil Gisler AG. It is a pioneering step into the future. In stages, additional parking areas will be created, a stream will be diverted, the entire logistics route will be redefined, production and assembly halls will be expanded and rebuilt, and internal processes will be optimised.
After an intensive approval phase and civil engineering work, it proved possible to start work in January on the first steel structures of the new assembly and production halls. The steel structure of the new final assembly hall is by now largely completed and the assembly of hall 14 (hydraulic assembly, chassis fitter's shop, warehouse) will follow in the next few days.
With the help of the newly created infrastructure, it will be possible for us to assemble and put together even large-scale plants completely under one roof from now on. Thanks to optimised production processes, we are equipped for the future and can continue to increase our output of new plant equipment. Parallel to optimisation in the new plant area, the auditing and repair areas will also be extended, with infrastructure expansion and the hire of new personnel.
This expansion at all levels will bring us even closer to our customers and thus strengthen our efforts to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.
