The new specialisation of GIPO AG in stationary plant manufacture implemented in early 2022 is attracting lively interest; we have already been able to complete several projects. One of these projects was undertaken at HASTAG (Zürich) AG in Kieswerk Wil (ZH).
For the optimisation of its overall system, the organisation operating the gravel and concrete works would like to modify its plant to increase total availability and lower maintenance costs. For this reason an old conveyor belt at the railway loading line was removed and replaced with a new conveyor belt with an improved layout. The control of the flow of material is more precise with the new conveyor belt – a further step in the direction of modernisation.
Tough schedule
Most of the gravel products manufactured in Kieswerk Wil are delivered to customers in an eco-friendly manner by rail. As a consequence we had a strict schedule for the installation work: the next trains for delivering gravel had already been booked and could not be cancelled. The highly motivated installation personnel from GIPO were able to keep to the schedule without problems, also thanks to the excellent support on site. Due to the prompt, professional organisation, the installation was actually completed two working days earlier than planned.
